It was super easy and quick so I think this makes a perfect craft to do with little ones. All you need is the download, some pin backs, and glue. That's it! Download the designs, print, and cut out your circles. There are four different designs to choose from:
I found this package of silver pin backs... well actually I found them buried in one of my craft drawers. But I'm sure you can find them at any craft store too.
Now here is where the directions get kind of tricky so stay with me.
Glue the pin back onto the circle.
Whew! Are you still with me? :) I suppose if you wanted them to be a little sturdier you could always cut a circle out of some foam or poster board and glue the buttons onto that first, but I wasn't too worried about them holding up. I'm not planning on getting too crazy on St. Patrick's Day so just regular card stock works fine for me.
When I glued the pin onto the circle I held it up to the light just to make sure the pin was on straight so the button wouldn't be crooked.
Please ignore the rough-cut edges. I failed cutting in kindergarten. And I've never been able to recover.
(hanging head in shame.)
Let the glue dry and wha-la! You're done!
I think I took approximately 1,348 pictures before I got a good one of myself wearing the pin. Most of them looked like this:
or this:
Please don't be jealous of my awesome photography skills. You try taking a picture of your uh...upper chest area, and see how difficult it is!
Genius idea!
