12 Days of Gift-mas- Day #4

You're in for a real "treat" with today's guest post!  Say hello to Beth from Alyssabeths

Hello everyone, I'm Beth at Alyssabeths and I'm honored to be one of the Holiday guest bloggers here at Darling Doodles during the 12 Days of Gift-mas!

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.  This of course is my favorite part of the Twas the Night Before Christmas Poem!  My fondest childhood memories of Christmas are of helping my sweet little grandmother making her wonderful handmade candies, cookies, little cakes and pies.  It was a wonder of sugar, dried fruits, nuts and jams!  To this day what I look most forward to for gift giving (and for my own wish list)  is the festive and lovely sweet treats that will soon be appearing in bakeries, catalogs and Etsy! Yes, Etsy is where you will find enchanting and very yummy edible treasures!  Etsy is the market place for some extraordinary food crafters and I have chosen a few to share with you.
I adore French Macaroons, it's their shape, pastel hues and of course the unique natural and wonderful flavors!  The Macaroon Queen creates these delicate  French patisseries using organic and gluten free ingredients!  Her charming shop features wonderful flavors including Godiva Chocolate, Pumpkin Cream and these snowflake adorned Red Velvet Macaroons.  She takes custom orders and ships in eco friendly packaging.

Fleur de Sel Caramels are a perfection of buttery sweetness mixed with savory salt, a flavour buffet for your senses!  The Carmel Jar handcrafts these little melt in your mouth treasures.  Her carmels are crafted and hand wrapped per order.  You will soon be seeing her carmels in Food and Wine Magazine's December 2011 Gift Guide.  So jump on the band wagon before everyone else does!
I haven't forgotten the kiddos or the kid in all of us.  Cake Pops, the words alone bring a smile to my face and joy in my heart.  Truly one of the most adorable and fun cake creations ever.  I have tried making them, they tasted fine but didn't turn out very cute.  So... off to my standby Etsy where I found Cake Pop My Heart.  Her cake pops are some of the most detailed that I have seen and over the top adorable.  But they are also simply delicious!  You have a choice of 7 yummy cake flavors to choose from. Her hand crafted cake pops are perfect for stocking stuffers, holiday school parties or your secret Santa.
Looks like I'll be spending several extra hours on the treadmill this Christmas!
Hoping you all have a Happy and Family Filled Holiday Season!

Yum, right?  I have to admit I didn't even know you could buy these kinds of items on Etsy.  But who wouldn't love to receive any of those delicious treats?  I know I would!
