Travel Gift Basket

Today is the last day of my travel themed series.  I hope everyone has enjoyed it and found some fun ideas for their next adventure!

If I could find someone who would be willing to pay me to do nothing but travel I would be one happy lady.  Any takers?
Too bad.  I make one awesome travel companion.  Just ask my husband who lugs around my suitcase reserved just for hair care products.  (I kid.  Kind of.)

Maybe you know someone who is always off on an adventure, or a couple who is getting ready to get away on a honeymoon.   This is one unique gift basket that they will surely appreciate.

Items to put in this basket:
  • Any travel size toiletry item
  • Q-Tips
  • Motrin
  • Pepto
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Security Pouch
  • Travel Pillow
  • Holders for toothbrush, razor, soap, etc.
  • Travel Outlet Converter
  • Language Dictionary
  • Luggage Tags
  • Map
  • Lightweight Backpack- This could also double as the gift basket

A fun way to wrap this basket is with a map.  And if you're short on boxes (or you have one but it isn't the right size) here is an idea:

And I'm serious about that pay-to-travel-thing.  I'll even throw in cheesy tourist pictures to sweeten the deal. :)

  2. Fabulous idea!!! Will be referring back to this page in the future :) Hmmm...if you find someone willing to pay for your travel, let me know! Perhaps they will have need for a 'paid' papercrafter, as well. Have a good day!

  6. Thanks for sharing gift ideas that children can help with. My mother used to use newspaper to decorate like your map wrapped box....amazing that it works! Come join me at toddlersthroughpreschool.wordpress.com for a sprinkle of fun early childhood tips.

  7. The traveler was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure, of experience. The tourist is passive; he expects interesting things to happen to him. He goes “sight-seeing.”

  8. This would work for a teacher too since I know they keep emergency supplies like this in their desks or a faculty bathroom. Just switch up a few things!
