Easy Table Decorations

Are you hosting a holiday party at your house?  If so, I have a fun and easy way to dress up the table.  All you need is some felt, scissors, hot glue, and some cute embellishments like ribbons or buttons.  What are we making?  Silverware holders!

Here's how you do it: Cut out the stocking and mitten shapes from the felt.  You'll need two of each for a front and a back.  I was looking for a stocking shape online to trace onto the felt and couldn't quite find the shape I wanted.  Solution?  Trace a sock.  Perfect shape.

The front and back are just hot glued together; make sure you don't glue the top edges.  You need a little opening to slide the silverware in.  Next is the fun part...time to embellish!

You can cut out additional shapes from felt or fabric, use ribbons or buttons, flowers, scrapbook pieces, anything you have in your craft stash will work, you just have to hot glue it on!

These are really easy to personalize as well.   All you have to do is add a name with a fabric marker or even puff paint. They make great place cards and double as a favor for your guests to take home.

Quick, simple, cute.  The perfect addition to your holiday table decorations.

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you enjoy the next couple of days celebrating our many blessings.  I know I am looking forward to good food and the time to just relax with family and friends.  I'll see you after the holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving!
