12 Days of Gift-mas- Gift #12

I want to thank everyone who has participated in this fun Christmas series!  I hope that everyone has been inspired and found some fun ideas.  I really appreciate all the guest bloggers for sharing their creativity and talents.  Today I get to finish the series off with Gift Idea #12.

For me giving gifts has never been about how much money I spend, or getting the most impressive and coolest gadget, or buying piles and piles of things.  Giving gifts has always been a way to spread a little happiness.  I love to think about the person receiving the gift  and then trying to find something that will make them smile and I know they will enjoy.   Giving a gift is a way to think about others, and less about yourself.  It can make another feel appreciated and loved.

But more than that, giving gifts has always been a way to remember the ultimate Gift that was given.  A Gift that didn't come wrapped in fancy packages or bows but instead in a humble and lowly stable.  A Gift that for all its quiet beginnings changed the world forever.  Gift Idea #12 is to honor and cherish the gift of a Savior  by giving of yourself.  Give someone your time, your friendship, a shoulder to lean on or a listening ear.  Find a way to volunteer, or donate, or serve.  Find a way to remember the true meaning of Christmas and then share it in any way you can.  It may just be the best gift you give, or receive, this season.
