Winter Gear Tags

If you're like me...and by that I mean short...then you are probably familiar with the standing-on-tip-toe-and-jumping-up-and-down-to-see-what-is-on-the-top-shelf-movement.  If you add in baskets on top of the shelf well, forget it.

I took this picture of our coat closet with the camera at my eye level.  I'm never going to be able to see what is in those things!  So I created these cute little tags to help me stay organized and know at a glance where everything is.

I printed the tags on a heavy duty cardstock and then used some coordinating ribbon to tie them on.

Now I don't have to sift through multiple baskets to find one pair of gloves and plus, they're just fun to look at!

If you have a similar problem, or maybe you are just looking for some motivation to organize your winter gear, then maybe these tags will work for you too.

  1. Hi there, what a fabulous idea. Yes, I do have a similar problem and have to drag the stepladder out all the time - I'm sure this idea will work for cleaning supplies, light bulbs, etc. which are usually up on the top shelf. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
