I cannot believe it is already time to start getting Christmas crafts ready! And I know its not even Thanksgiving yet, but I wanted to share this craft with you now so you have plenty of time to collect the materials. I’m going to show you how I made these pretty, sparkly, snowflakes.
Would you believe they came from these? Empty paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls.
Start collecting your empty rolls, you’ll need quite a few! Honestly the hardest part of this craft was picking all the little pieces of paper stuck to the glue on the rolls. After that, it moves along pretty easily and quickly. Here’s the how to:
To paint I hung the snowflakes on some tree branches in the back yard and used a stick in my other hand to hold them steady. It worked fairly well, except for the fact that it was 30 degrees outside and I couldn’t feel my hand around the can of spray paint by the time I was done. The things we do in the name of crafting.
This would be a great Christmas craft to do with kids, and its cheap! Reuse and recycle, right?

ReplyDeletesuggestion- make a spray booth out of a cardboard box and suspend your project from the top- neater and quite possible a whole lot warmer

ReplyDeleteI did this same thing and instead of doubling up on the spray paint, I used glue mixed with glitter .. and also paint mixed with glitter.. Just paint it on .. Much warmer! :)
